During the ‘Liedkunst im Schloss vor Husum’ festival Vincent Kusters and Charlie Bo Meijering won the 'Johann-Max-Böttcher-Preis' (first prize) as well as the prize for providing a concert that will take place on April 19, 2024 in the Landesvertretung Schleswig-Holstein in Berlin.
They took part in the master class and were allowed to present themselves during the final concert, in which all candidates competed for a number of coveted prizes.
The duo Kusters-Meijering also won the first prize in 2021. As a result, they were invited to provide the opening concert during the 22nd edition of the festival, together with organizers Ulf Bästlein (baritone) and Charles Spencer (piano). They performed, among others, the moving cycle 'Six Songs from a Shropshire Lad' (Butterworth), as well as the comical and little performed 'Die four Temperamente bei dem Verlust der Geliebten' (Weber).
